Jaipur, the city of emperors, palaces and forts and capital of the Indian state of Rajasthan, has had a long and colourful association with elephants. It is one of the few places in the world where one can witness elephant polo, an exclusive sport being played throughout the year. Watching it is an unique and unforgettable experience.

The day starts with a traditional royal welcome at the Polo grounds, under a royal Golden umbrella ”Chatter”. It is followed by a grand procession, comprising ceremonially attired horses with riders in traditional cavalry costumes, royal carriages, camels, ceremonially attired elephants and traditional musicians. Then the Polo match starts, followed by lunch under a ‘Shamiana’.

Special add ons are available, such as a Jeep Safari in the desert. A treasure hunt in the remote villages adds even more fun to the experience.
