Coach / Cars
Buses are available daily by the hour in Gaborone to any city. Car hire services are widely available in Maun, Gaborone and Francistown. Four-wheel drive vehicles are a must in many areas, and there's a speed limit of 120kph.
Air
There are two international airports – Sir Seretse Khama International near Gaborone and the newer Amuch International Airport at Maun. Regular connections can be made from Johannesburg (South Africa), Harare (Zimbabwe) or Lusaka (Zambia) to Botswana. Most European, Asian, Australian and American cities are linked to Gaborone via Johannesburg (South Africa). Botswana has its own international carrier and chartered flights can also be taken from neighbouring countries. There are several other airlines that operate their flights to the country. Both airports have car rentals and taxis to get you to the city centre.
Train
South Africa and Zimbabwe are connected by rail to Botswana. The country has the best train connections in the region.The rail line runs through Francistown, Gaborone and Lobatse.
