Faroe Islands

Coach / Cars

It is easy to get around; the roads are good and public transport well developed. Buses run between the towns and villages, ferries sail between the islands and to the most remote areas you can even fly by helicopters.

Air

Despite its remote location in mid-Atlantic, the Faroes are easily accessible by both air and sea. Several transportation routes are open all year round, some other operate only during the summer months.

Boat

Between May and early September, you can take a ferry from Norway, Iceland and Denmark. Although it takes more time than flying and may not be particularly economical, it is a pleasant way to get there.

Various

Atlantic Airways offers helicopter service to selected towns and villages throughout the Faroe Islands.
