UNKNOWN LISBON MULTI-ACTIVITY PACKAGE

Lisbon has been inhabited since times immemorial. Celts, Romans and Arabs were among its inhabitants. Lisbon became the capital of Portugal in 1255. From the 15th to the 17th century, Lisbon was the starting point of historic expeditions embarked upon by Portuguese navigators, which rapidly transformed the city into an international trading centre. Lisbon was the capital of a colonial empire. One still finds traces of its historic legacy throughout the city. Its confluence of cultures is reminiscent of its colonial past. Perhaps that explains why Lisboetas are by nature very hospitable. Discover the unknown Lisbon and the River Tagus; this luminous city, cooled by sea breezes; and marvel at the old gardens, which straggle over the seven hills on which the city was originally built.
