Kuoni Destination Management appoints new General Manager in London
Kuoni Destination Management has appointed a new General Manager for its offices in Great Britain. Paula Hiltunen assumes her new role as of September 1st, 2008. She succeeds Michelle Kunz in this position, who was General Manager ad-interim in London and who returns to her role as Head of MICE Development & Support in Zurich.
Paula Hiltunen is 49 years of age, of Finnish Nationality and will join our company in the capacity of General Manager at our London office as of September 1st, 2008. Paula Hiltunen brings with her a wealth of experience in the destination management business. To date and for the last four years she held the position of Managing Director for the “Scancoming Group of Companies“. Earlier, from 2001 – 2004 she was responsible for Sales and Marketing before becoming General Manager for another destination management company in the UK. Paula Hiltunen had started her career in 1985 in the inbound sector in Finland and gained valuable experience holding various positions. From 1995 – 2001 she was self employed as a destination management specialist.
Her many years of experience in the industry, her proven management and leadership skills, supported by her excellent language skills make her the ideal candidate to fill this vacancy.
We are delighted to have found such an accomplished professional and wish Paula Hiltunen much success and satisfaction in her new role. At the same time we thank Michelle Kunz for having taken on the responsibilities of the GM function in London on an ad-interim basis and wish her continued enjoyment in her role as Head of MICE Development & Support in Zurich.
