Private Safaris appoints new Chief Financial Officer
Private Safaris has appointed a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in Cape Town, South Africa. Valma Janse van Rensburg will assume her new position on 1 December 2008.
Valma Janse van Rensburg has held a number of positions in the area of finance and since 2002 these have been in the travel industry. Her most recent function was that of Head of Accounts/HR Manager & Public Officer for ATC Africa Travel Concept. Valma Janse van Rensburg completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Natal, South Africa, and her excellent language skills include English, Afrikaans and German.
In her new position as CFO, she will be responsible to oversee and manage all financial aspects of the Private Safaris offices in Eastern and Southern Africa and manage the respective finance teams. The financial teams in Africa consist of three financial managers and a further employee complement of 35. She will report directly to Thomas Goosmann, Managing Director Private Safaris, with a technical reporting line to Thomas Peyer, Vice President Finance & IT of Kuoni Destination Management. Valma Janse van Rensburg replaces Christian Vogt, who has decided to return to Europe for personal reasons.
