Some useful tips before, during and after the IMEX Trade Fair in Frankfurt

• The Orfeos Erben located on the Hamburger Allee, which is about five minutes walking distance from the main entrance of the fair. "Off the beaten track", it offers international bistro kitchen with a small garden terrace.

• Japan Center, very stylish, modern and trendy building. Located in the city’s financial district, it offers a beautiful view from the 25th floor onto the city. Max 80 pax

• African Lodge, Frankfurt/ Kronberg. Overlooking the zoos savannah areal. From 80 to 160 pax.

• Apfelwein (Apple Tavern) Wagner. Rustic with very hearty Hessian kitchen. Max 120 pax.

How to get to the IMEX Fair grounds?

From the airport

• Located approximately 15 km away from the fair grounds. It shouldn’t take you more than 25 minutes to reach the fair by taxi. Instruct the taxi driver to take you to “Messe Frankfurt, Halle 8”

• An airport shuttle will be in operation during the exhibition

• If you wish to take the public transport: Take the S-Bahn Line S8 and S9 from the airport to the Frankfurt main train station (Hauptbahnhof). From the main train station it is only a few minutes walking distance to reach the fair grounds.

From the train station

• Take the train to the Frankfurt main train station (Hauptbahnhof)

• By foot: The fair is located about 15 minutes walking distance from the fair

• By tram: Board line 16 at the stop located on the square in front of the station. Get off at the stop marked Festhalle/ Messe

• By underground: take line U4 from the Frankfurt main station direction Bockenheimer Warte. Get off at the stop marked Messe/Festhalle (1 stop). Enter the fairgrounds through the main entrance next to the Maritim Hotel. Follow the signs to the Forum. A free shuttle bus service will run between the Forum and Hall 8 during show hours.

• By S-bahn: From the Frankfurt main station with the suburban train (S-Bahn) lines S3, S4, S5 and S6 (2 stops). Get off at the stop marked “Messe”, entrance Torhaus. Follow the signs to Hall 8

By car

• Follow the “Messe” signs and take the exit marked “Westkreuz Frankfurt”. The overhead signs will guide you to the fairgrounds

• Take the second exit at the roundabout

• Follow the signs marked “Messe Frankfurt – Tor 11”

• The porter at Gate 11 will provide parking information

Please note: Between 17:00 and 18:30 you can expect longer waiting times for taxis, as everyone will be leaving the fair!

Do you have some free time during or after the fair? We recommend visiting the following:

• Varieté Tigerpalast - Let yourself be enchanted by a variety of different acrobatic shows of this day and age. Also well known for its Michelin star at the Tiger Restaurant. This venue also welcomes groups
