Asian Trails celebrates 10-year anniversary
Asian Trails, the business unit of Kuoni Destination Management in South East Asia, celebrated its 10-year anniversary on 9 September 2009. The celebrations consisted of a traditional Buddhist Monks Blessing Ceremony.
Asian Trails commenced operations on 9 September 1999 with one office in Bangkok, Thailand. Since its inauguration, the company has established a network of Destination Management Companies covering all major South East Asian tourist locations.
For its 10-year anniversary, Asian Trails held a Buddhist Monks Blessing Ceremony at their head office in Thailand. As a first step, employees and management alike visited an orphanage to offer food and a collection of donated goods to 70 children and monks. On 9 September 2009, the blessing ceremony was performed by these Buddhist Monks by chanting and sprinkling holy water throughout the office. This Thai tradition is meant to bring prosperity to the company for the coming years.
“We could not have come this far so quickly and become one of the leading Destination Management Companies in the region without the dedication of our employees and management, as well as the support of our partners and customers. With our creative and innovative approach, we are constantly raising the bar as we move into our next decade,“ said Luzi Matzig, CEO of Asian Trails.
Asian Trails has its head office in Bangkok, Thailand with 26 other offices located throughout Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar and Vietnam.
