Perfect combination - Bali, Indonesia

Kuoni Destination Management Indonesia organised a successful congress in Bali for 350 French-speaking ophthalmologists in October 2010. Participants could combine business meetings with excursions to discover the beautiful island.

Kuoni office in Nice and Kuoni Destination Management in Asia-Pacific won the tender for organising a congress on the resort island of Bali.

The group was booked during six nights at the Grand Hyatt in Bali, the largest hotel in the island with 640 rooms. They arrived on four different flights, which made the immigration process and the airport handling easier.

The meetings took place in the late afternoon, so all participants had the choice to discover Bali with different daily excursion options and regular-sized groups to make the visits more comfortable. The clients were able to sign up for them at the hospitality desk inside the hotel.

The evening programme included dinners on the beach and in a temple. After the congress, there were three options of extensions within Indonesia including Java, Sumatra and Sulawesi.

Due to a careful planning, the whole congress was a big success. The wide offer of day excursions gave participants and their families the opportunity to discover the destination. The themed dinners on the beach, in a shopping mall and also in one of Bali’s largest Hindu temples, provided participants with unique experiences. Further trips to south east Asia or China are already being planned.
