Wild West incentive - Arizona, US

Kuoni was tapped by Incentivise Ltd, a UK based company, to assist with building an incentive programme that truly embodied Arizona. The concept was to create “life experiences” for the Akzo Nobel attendees while embracing the “Wild West” days of the past.

The programme design included a cattle drive, Cowboy Olympics and a "Paint your wagon” event. Guests were split into groups where they alternated between corralling cattle and the games. The Cowboy Olympics games had teams creating their own western ballad, working up a sweat in a hay bale rolling contest and sharpening their aim in a cowboy hat discuss throw. As a finale, each team competed in a "Paint your wagon” event, where they designed and built a covered wagon using their own brand of paint to create a colorful crest. A themed Western dinner completed the programme’s activities with a full band, line dancing, mechanical bull, “old-time” photos and Western movies on display.

Kuoni Destination Management and Incentivise Ltd successfully coordinated an authentic incentive experience that incorporated the Arizona landscape, local life experiences and the customer’s own product. The group was motivated from the start, boarding the busses in cowboy hats, boots and bandannas and while they were dressed the part, many of the guests had never been on a horse before, let alone a cattle drive on a ranch in the middle of the desert.
