Living la Dolce Vita - ROME, ITALY
Kuoni Destination Management Rome hosted an incentive trip to Florence for one of the world’s pioneering car makers, for over 150 guests. The team was selected amongst three other companies thanks to the originality of the programme presented.
This incentive gave clients the opportunity to fully experience Tuscany. Clients enjoyedthe best hotel in Florence, special visits, selected restaurants and exclusive locations, all Dolce vita style. The most unusual and spectacular activity was a Ferrari race starting from Piazzale Michelangelo and ending at Greve, in the hearth of the Chianti region.
The unique programme required preparation in advance to get special permissions. In particular, the Rome team made an agreement with the Mayor of Greve in Chianti village in order to rent the main square of the village and park there the vintage cars and the Ferraris. They also negotiated to get a private visit to the Opificio delle Pietre Dure Museum, normally closed to the public. The museum is known for the restoration services of international masterpieces kept in the most important museums of the world.
There was also a private fashion show at a Cavalli designer’s boutique with an aperitive; a breathtaking private visit to the top of the Duomo in Florence; an italian evening at Harry’s Bar; and a private lunch at Golden View restaurant overlooking the famous Ponte Vecchio. The gala dinner and the awards ceremony were hosted at the Palazzo Corsini, an exclusive venue located in the hearth of Florence and owned by the Corsini family.
