UEFA Champions League - Moscow, Russia

Kuoni Destination Management arranged the accommodation, transportation, restaurants and excursions for the Chelsea FC in October 2010. The English team was playing Spartak Moscow at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow for the UEFA Champions League group stage game. The group included four different target groups: team & staff, directors, sponsors & VIP guests, media, supporters.

One of the biggest challenges in Moscow was the heavy traffic, which can disturb a plan or an itinerary anytime because it is extremely unpredictable.

Another challenge the team had to deal with was preparing the contracts with the hotels. A reliable and creditable local agent is a must and also a personal relationship with the suppliers as there is a lot of paper work required before a contract can be signed.

The Chealsea FC stayed in a brand new hotel and the operation went smoothly. Chelsea FC confirmed it was one of the best trips they ever had and we received the same feedback from the other participants of the trip such as directors and VIPs.
