I love how the destinations within the Hawaiian islands vary so much from one another.   Maui for example is scenically beautiful with its many valleys, Haleakala, and Hana.  Hawaii, the Big Island, has the only active volcano and many historic Hawaiian heritage sites.  Kauai offers lush, natural beauty unmatched anywhere.  Lanai feels like a private, unspoiled paradise.  And Oahu offers a lot of American history with the USS Arizona Memorial and USS Missouri, along with all of fun activities and of course, our share of shopping.

DESCRIBE THE BIGGEST MISPERCEPTION OF YOUR DESTINATION?

Most compare Hawaii with the Caribbean and Mexico.  Hawaii is very different from both locations.  It is not just a beach destination -- there is so much more to Hawaii, beyond lying around the pool or on the sand.  I love helping people see how diverse and extraordinary every visit to Hawaii can be.

DESCRIBE SOMETHING FUN A TWIST ON EVENT CONCEPTS THAT YOU RECENTLY DID?

We recently designed and operated and very unique dinner event on the USS Missouri.  We tied lots of historical and patriotic experiences into the event, and the attendees were thrilled as well as a bit emotional about dining on an American battleship.  How many can claim to have dinner on the battleship on which Japan's unconditional surrender to the Allied Forces took place, ending World War II.
