New branch office to be opened in Lyon
Kuoni Destination Management continues to expand: a new branch office will open in Lyon on August 1, 2007. The new office will be the third in the country, after Paris and Nice. Its opening underlines the strategic importance of the French market – and of the Lyon/Rhone region in particular – for Kuoni Destination Management’s meeting, incentive, conference and event business (MICE) as well as for congresses.
The new Kuoni Destination Management office in Lyon will be accommodated within the premises of Kuoni France’s local tour operating activities, an arrangement that will allow synergies to be optimally exploited in infrastructural terms. The new destination management operation will be headed by Catherine Derain, who is currently at Kuoni
Destination Management Nice. Catherine Derain, who is 37, is a proven industry specialist who can draw on several years of experience in the tourist travel sector. As a native of Lyon, she is also excellently acquainted with the local region and its attractions and facilities. Kuoni Destination Management is delighted to have found such an ideally-qualified individual to assume the position of Senior Project Manager for its new Lyon operation. Catherine Derain will report to Jean Roussel, General Manager Kuoni Destination Management Nice. Operational back-up will also be provided by our existing Nice office.
